As a Counselling Therapist, I work with people experiencing grief, loss, trauma and PTSD, depression and/or anxiety as well as those searching for meaning and purpose in life. As a narrative therapist, I believe healing comes by helping people tell their stories and tapping into their resilience. The goal is to leave two things: (1) knowledge that you can heal through pain and (2) hope that you can once again feel joy in life.
In addition to a Master of Counselling degree from Acadia University, I am certified by the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists as a Registered Counselling Therapist-Candidate (RCT-C); and I am a certified Grief Recovery Specialist with additional training in Trauma.
My practice is part of the Harvard Street Healing Arts Centre in Halifax.
